Front Desk Greeter

Description of Role: The Front Desk/Greeter is the face and voice of the Gathering Place since he/she is the first person to interact with participants, family members, guests and volunteers. It is an essential role that requires a positive and professional attitude.
Primary Duties:
- Greet and welcome visitors
- Answer phones, transfer calls and put callers in voice mailboxes
- Register participants for programs and healing arts services
- Give tours of facility
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks
Qualifications/Skills Needed:
- Friendly, warm, calm personality
- Ability to interact with various types of people
- Display a calm and peaceful demeanor (when faced with stressful situations)
- Attention to detail
- Good listener
- Adapt to change easily; flexible and handling situations with emotional or upset people
- Willingness to learn new tasks
- Good interpersonal skills-(communicate easily with others)
- Take initiative to make participants
- Feel comfortable
- Be able to multi-task without getting flustered
- Ability to work with technology
Days and Times Needed:
EAST- two hour shifts generally from 9 am- 8 pm, Monday thru Thursday, Friday: 9 am – 5 pm and
Saturday: 9 am-1 pm
WEST-three hours shifts generally from 9 am- 8pm, Monday thru Thursday, Friday: 9 am – 5 pm and
Saturday: 9 am – 1 pm
Time Commitment: Weekly commitment with exceptions as needed
Training and Screening:
- General Orientation
- Reference Checks
- HIPAA Training
- Photo Release
- Covid 19 Vaccination
- Specific training for greeter
- “On the Job” training at the Front Desk
- Annual update trainings as needed
- Individual meetings as needed
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older
This position is needed for both East and West locations in Beachwood and Westlake.
